Frequently Asked Questions
SEER Rating - Seasonal Energy Efficiency Rating
The best way to understand what a SEER is to think of it like the number of miles per gallon of gasoline you car gets. It is the efficiency of your system. Most older systems out there are have a very low SEER rating, which means it is costing you more to keep your home comfortable. If you are not keeping your system in top shape by having it serviced regularly, your SEER could actually be even lower. The higher the SEER, the less it will cost you to operate.
Heat Pump - Sometimes called an all electric system because it utilizes no fuel gas, just electricity. A heat pump utilizes the heat in the outdoor air in the winter to heat your home, and expels the heat from in your home into the outside air in the summer.
Dual Fuel - With the high cost of fuel gas, this is the perfect solution for those who want the heat of gas when it’s cold but have the savings of a heat pump when the weather is mild. This is a good option to consider when upgrading your equipment.
